Two of the extras at Impulse88 arrive without you claiming any promotion: angpao, which the team sends as a gift, and referral commission, which you earn from friends you bring to the site. They show up in different places and follow different rules, so here's each one on its own — plus a story about my cousin at the end, as a warning.
Angpao
An angpao is a credit gift from the Impulse88 team — around festive periods, or as a thank-you to regular players. You don't apply for one. When one lands:
- A live chat message tells you the amount and when it was sent.
- It shows up as a pot on the Rebate page, next to your rebate pots. Pick the game provider you're about to play and press CLAIM — the credit goes straight into that provider.
- It carries its own terms, shown with the gift, which may include a rollover before it can be withdrawn.
Because it's a gift, there's nothing to optimise. Play it as part of a normal session, and treat any rollover shown as the only condition that matters.
Referral commission
The Referral page gives you a personal referral link and a QR code. When someone registers through it and plays, you earn commission on their activity, which builds up as a separate commission balance.
- Open the Referral page while logged in and copy your link, or save the QR.
- Share it directly with people you actually know. A friend who registers through it is tied to your account.
- As they play, commission accrues to your commission balance.
- When you want it, claim it into the game provider you're about to play — it becomes normal playable credit there.
Any minimum before commission can be claimed is shown where you claim it. Winnings from it follow the normal withdrawal rules.
What referral is, and what it isn't
It's for sharing with people who genuinely want to play. It is not for creating extra accounts of your own. My cousin thought registering his "second account" through his own link was a clever trick. The accounts got linked, the commission was voided, and every withdrawal he made after that took longer. One account per person is the rule everywhere on the site, and it's enforced.
